A lil recap of me as a human:

  • I’ve been creating on the internet since age 12.

Think drag-and-drop doll makers, glitter fill resources and glitter graphic websites. I was a mini entrepreneur, selling my glitter graphics on forums to grown adults in packs of 15 and making a cool $20 a month from Google Adsense 😎

  • I’ve been a reader from the day my grade four teacher shamed me into reading The Adventures of the Wishing Chair.

(Who says shame can’t be a healthy motivator for behaviour change? Tbh, me, but this time it panned out). From then on, I loved to read. Something about magic, a drama-filled monarchy and a hero’s journey gets me every time. I also can’t turn down a good, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers fantasy book.

  • A few things that make me happy are:

big monstrous old trees, empty beaches, juice AND empty beaches, walks on nature trails with interesting friends, people with projects and semi-chaotic personalities, bouldering, extroverts that adopt introverts, good vego ramen and picnics.

  • I self-describe as someone with a pixie brain.

A smart gal who does dumb stuff. My psychologist calls it inattentive ADHD. Labels aren’t helpful for me personally, and I don’t bring ADHD into my content, given that there are so many great creators for people with ADHD - but a lot of my content happens to be ADHD-friendly - though every brain is different.

Hey! I’m Michelle.

I create videos about self-compassionate productivity, managing your mind and changing your behaviour. I also build tools to help.

Before I was a full-time content creator, I was an online learning designer. I created online learning programs for my workplace around topics like security, safety and bullying in the workplace ~ very fun funky and fresh.

Nowadays, I share ideas, learnings and thoughts on topics like:

  • Getting things done in a way that’s a custom fit for your brain

  • Managing your mind

  • Creating habits that you look forward to every day

  • Changing patterns of behaviour in a self-compassionate way

  • How to create a life that feels good

This is my partner Luke. He has great taste in fantasy books (he introduced me to most of my favourites).

Some questions I’m focusing on right now are:

  • How do we change underlying beliefs about ourselves and the world?

  • How can you train your brain to create new patterns of thinking or behaving?

  • How can you make necessary but annoying tasks more enjoyable?

  • What is the best way to approach improving business systems?

  • How can you increase the perceived value of a behaviour or habit?

  • What’s the easiest way to reduce resistance towards doing certain tasks?

  • How can you prompt your subconscious mind to work for you in the background?

  • How can working towards goals feel as fun as possible?

If you have resources on any of the above that you’ve found useful, I would love for you to send them to me. I’m always up for a good article or book recommendation.

This is Luna. I named her when I was 17 and she deserved better. She loves Luke more than me, I handle it well - she’s moody, dislikes most people and will bite you if she’s in the mood for it. The vet fears her. We love her.
