My favourite fantasy books.
When it comes to fiction, I usually read fantasy series at the speed of light and only retain flashes of detail - but the vibes stay with me always. Here are a few books with impeccable vibes. I love any and all fantasy recommendations, I’m always on the hunt for good books, so always feel free to shoot reccs my way.
The Complete Farseer Trilogy: Assassin’s Apprentice, Royal Assassin, Assassin’s Quest
by Robin Hobb
Robin Hobb is amazing, this series is amazing, I loved every single second of it. I will forewarn you - the main character is depressed. It’s a lot sometimes. If you’re in a bad headspace, I wouldn’t recommend it. BUT aside from that, I adored this (very long) series so much. It’s full of magic and intrigue and general vibes. Big thumbs up.
Mistborn Trilogy: The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, The Hero of Ages

I think this is essential reading for fantasy lovers for a reason. Brandon Sanderson has been one of my faves for years and it alllll started here.
The Way of Kings - Stormlight Archive Series

I’m just making my way through this series now and it’s so so good. One key character is also depressed throughout a chunk of the series, so keep that in mind.

Read this at your own risk. The next book in the series may never come out. Obviously, though, it’s an incredible series that ticks every box, I love love loved this series like any other fantasy reader.
